Sladkoye lake in Russia's Novosibirsk region was transfered to Kazakhstan, administration of the Kupinsky district of the Novosibirsk region said.
The lake is located 20 km from the Kupino district center.
"Now Sladkoye lake is located entirely on the territory of Kazakhstan," the statement said.
Visitors and local people will be notified about the new rules in order to avoid incidents at the border area, the statement added.
Head of the district Vladimir Shubnikov said that the part of the lake was located in Kazakhstan anyway.
"It was easier to move this part (Russian part of the lake). This lake has no fish and serves only as a decoration. Demarcation did not affect the economic activity. We also have Gorkoye lake, which is curative. As for Sladkoye, it is a half-swamp and half-lake, an absolutely useless lake," AKIpress cited Shubnikov as saying.
