Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on recognition of Russian documents issued to the Ukrainian citizens and stateless persons, permanently residing in the territories of certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine, the Kremlin press service reported, adding that this is a temporary measure, which would be in force until the political settlement of the situation in these areas.
Until then, the documents issued by the authorities o these areas are considered to be valid, this applies to passports, birth and death certificates, marriage or divorce certificates, change of name.
