Russia records 10,449 daily COVID cases

Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 10,449 over the past day to 22,363,740, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Tuesday. A day earlier, 11,163 daily cases were recorded.

As many as 1,801 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, up 192.8% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients increased in 73 regions, while in five regions the figure decreased. The situation remained unchanged in seven regions. A day earlier, 615 people were rushed to hospitals.

Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 1,448 over the past day versus 1,588 cases a day earlier, reaching 3, 434,476, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 1,460 over the past day versus 1,386 a day earlier, reaching 1,887,570.

Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 14,373 over the past day, reaching 21,700,795. A day earlier some 9,166 patients recovered.

Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 42 over the past day, reaching 396,378. A day earlier 38 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
