The number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Russia over the past 24 hours has increased by 28,142, bringing the total to 2,488,912, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said.
On Sunday, 29,039 daily infections were detected which was the highest since the beginning of the pandemic.
On average, over the past seven days in Russia 18.8 cases of the infection per 100,000 residents have been detected daily, a day earlier this value was at 18.6, TASS reported.
Over 539,300 citizens remain under medical observation in Russia due to the suspected coronavirus infection, the press service of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing reported.
"539,344 individuals remain under medical observation in the Russian Federation," the statement said.
According to the agency, in all, over 79.7 mln tests for the presence of the coronavirus have been conducted. Over the past 24 hours, 448,000 tests were made.
