The Russian Embassy in Washington urged the United States to stop the Sea Breeze-2021 military operations with Ukraine in the Black Sea.
The scale and obviously aggressive nature of the military drills SeaBreeze in no way match the real security needs in the Black Sea region. Increase risks of unintended incidents. Inspire militaristic ambitions in Kiev," the embassy's statement on Twitter reads.
"We call on the US and its allies to stop military operations in the Black Sea," the embassy stressed.
The Sea Breeze 2021 naval exercise is set to take place from June 28 through July 10.
