Russian Ambassador to Ankara receives note of protest

Turkey's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmet Muhtar Gun, has handed a written complaint to the Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Andrey Karlov, over an alleged violation of Turkish airspace by a Russian warplane, Russian embassy spokesperson Igor Mityakov said.

"We were summoned over this incident by Ahmet Muhtar Gun, during the conversation the Turkish side gave us a corresponding note," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
