Russia's Central Bank does not see any factors that could lead to high volatility of the ruble in the near future, the Director of the Central Bank’s Monetary Policy Department Igor Dmitriev said.
"In terms of ruble rate dynamics we do not expect any shocks for the forthcoming period. Balance of payment flows are fairly coherent ... Currently we do not see a situation that would lead to large-scale exchange rate volatility on the horizon," TASS cited Dmitriev as saying.
Central Bank's chief Elvira Nabiullina earlier noted that the Russian economy is not used to volatility of floating ruble exchange rate, but floating ruble will be more positive and favorable for the economy.
