There are more prerequisites for cutting interest rate than for raising it, Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina said on the margins of the IMF-World Bank Spring Meeting in Washington.
“If the situation develops in accordance with our baseline forecast, then, of course, the downward movement is more likely than the upward movement. I repeat once again that we see the possibility of mitigation already this year. We cannot say exactly when”, RIA Novosti quotes her as saying.
