The Russian Chess Federation (RCF) will become a member of the Asian Chess Federation (ACF) from tomorrow.
The accession of the Russian Federation was approved by 29 delegates at today's meeting of the ACF General Assembly. One voted against, six others abstained.
Last spring, Russian national teams were banned from participating in competitions under the auspices of the International Chess Federation (FIDE). After that, the Russian Chess Federation decided to change Europe to Asia. The final transition will take place on Wednesday, March 1.
