Russian Finance Ministry: Russia doesn't cancel Eurobond plans

Russian Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak said that Russia had not cancelled plans to issue a sovereign Eurobond this year.

Storchak added however that the Eurobond could be replaced by domestic borrowing if necessary, Reuters reports.

In March, Financial Times reported that "Brussels is urging European banks to steer clear of Russia’s first sovereign bond issue since the imposition of western sanctions over Ukraine, creating fresh doubts about the viability of the offering".
