The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the elections in Syria are a major factor for stabilization in the country.
"More than 7000 polling stations and 3500 candidates in 13 of the 15 provinces - Raqqa and Idlib - remain under the control of terrorists. Against the background of what is happening in Syria elections are an important factor for stabilization," Zakharova wrote on her Facebook page.
