Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held phone talks on October 24.
During the conversation, the diplomats discussed the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, the prospects for the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace process, the current situation in the region, as well as the results of the ministerial meeting within the framework of the regional ‘3+3’ platform in Tehran.
In addition, the ministers exchanged views on the agenda of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Caspian countries, which is scheduled to be held in Moscow in December this year.
The parties recognized tangible opportunities for fostering enduring peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and emphasized the significance of this historic chance that has emerged in the region.
