The Russian delegation is holding a bilateral meeting with members of the Syrian government delegation as part of the high-level talks on Syria in Kazakhstan’s capital Nur-Sultan.
The Russian delegation at the meeting is led by Russian Presidential Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev, and the Syrian government delegation - by the country’s Permanent Representative to the UN Bashar Jaafari, TASS reported.
The 13th international meeting on Syria at the high level will be held in Nur-Sultan on August 1-2. Delegations from guarantor countries (Iran, Russia, Turkey) are among participants. The Syrian government and opposition will also be represented at the talks. High representatives of the UN, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq will take part as observers.
