The Russian chess team has become the winner of the European Championship, which took place in Reykjavik, Iceland.
In the final 9th round Evgeny Tomashevsky, Yan Nepomnyashchy, Alexander Grischuk and Peter Svidler met with their main competitors, the Hungarian team. All four games ended in a draw. It allowed the Russian team to receive 15 points and win the tournament, R-Sport reports.
