Russian President Vladimir Putin has discussed with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council the fight against terrorism.
"In view of the passing of the relevant resolution by the UN Security Council, the participants discussed the issues of terminating terrorist financing sources," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
The UN Security Council unanimously passed a comprehensive resolution, which obliges countries to terminate the financing and any other support of Daesh, Al-Qaeda and individuals, groups, undertakings and entities associated with them.
According to Peskov, the participants exchanged views on the Syrian settlement, including taking into consideration the forthcoming talks in New York.
They also "discussed in detail the CSTO issues in the context of the meeting of the organization’s Collective Security Council due to be held in Moscow on Monday," RIA Novosti cited Peskov as saying.
