Russia's GAZ Group has launched manufacturing the cargo all-steel van and combi van Gazelle Next in Turkey.
"Start of production of the all-steel van Gazelle Next is the third stage of development of our production site in Sakarya after the start of production of Gazelle Business in 2012 and Gazelle Next in 2014," the head of GAZ Group affiliate in Turkey, Pavel Sereda, said.
He noted that with the launch of new models they open their own affiliate in Turkey that will allow them to grow even faster in the local market. "We plan to develop a dealer network, expand the lineup of locally assembled vehicles and actively involve Turkish companies, that will be able to make special vehicles on the basis of our vehicles," he added.
Director of the Assembly production of GAZ in Turkey, Chingiz Yuksel, said that specially for launching production of all-metal van Gazelle Next they have upgraded and reconfigured the assembly equipment, that now works with the new body type.
