Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov and US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas Shannon held negotiations in Washington, DC yesterday.
The main topic of the consultations was expected to be the situation with Russia's diplomatic property. The outcome of the talks may influence Moscow's possible decision on retaliatory measures against Washington, Sputnik reported.
On June 21, Moscow canceled the Ryabkov-Shannon talks, scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg on June 23, after the United States expanded anti-Russian sanctions the day before.
