The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has commissioned a new well at ‘Oil Rocks’ field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR said.
The daily flow rate of the well No. 2156, drilled in the range of 1296-1290 meters, will be 12 metric tons of oil, the company added.
In January 2017, SOCAR produced 645.1 thousand tons in comparison with 647 thousand tons of oil produced during the same period of 2016, Trend reported.
