The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) considers the construction of an oil refinery in Georgia inexpedient, abc.az informs.
SOCAR Foreign Investment Department’s head Vagif Aliyev says that "this project is not under consideration as market conditions and priorities of SOCAR have changed".
"The current priority for us now is to upgrade and reconstruct the Heydar Aliyev oil refinery in Baku, build the Star refinery in Turkey, and implement other investment projects," he explained.
