At the present time, the gold reserves of SOFAZ are estimated at 30,175 kg, or about 3.5% of its total assets, and therefore it isn’t planned to increase them.
"In accordance with the rules on the management of the assets of the State Oil Fund, the proportion of gold reserves in total assets shouldn't exceed 5% of the limit. At the moment, an increase in gold reserves is not included in the plans for the fund,’’ Trend cites the message of SOFAZ.
As of July 1, the gold reserves of the fund were estimated at $35.78 billion, which is 3.56% less than at the beginning of the year.
