The ex-president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili advised the United National Movement to establish parity with women during the nomination of candidates for the parliamentary elections. He wrote today on his Facebook page.
"The United National Movement has always been the founder of the new trends and now it has to come up with several new initiatives. As part of the overall upgrade process they should announce that 50% candidates in the parliamentary list will be women," Georgia Online cited him as saying.
Saakashvili expressed confidence that it will be easy to find worthy candidates.
