Russia's Federal Assembly legislators, which attended Russian President Vladimir Putin's 15th State of Nation Address, outlined most important for their regions proposals, made by the head of state.

The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, stressed that all the instructions and initiatives of Vladimir Putin are relevant for the Ingush Republic, with the exception of the sphere of strategic armaments. "For regions with a good demography, such as Ingushetia, the privileges voiced by the president are particularly relevant. Issues related to large families, housing, especially individual housing construction are very important.  It is also important that national projects require serious support," he said.

Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov, in turn, noted that defense issues for the North Caucasus Federal District are also important. "In any case, the Caucasus region is a border area. In many ways, the defensive capacity determines both investment potential and human potential. Of course, the president's first point - wages and people’s lives - is very important. Indeed, today the North Cacasus Federal District is the region with the lowest wages. For us, correcting this situation is of utmost importance to us. The demography issue is also important. The North Caucasus has always been famous for its birth rate, but, nevertheless, the Russian demographic pitfall affects all of us," he said in the first place.

"In addition, I would like to mention the rural development program - we were advocating it a lot, achieving it together with deputies, with our representatives. We really want it to become the 13th national project, because Stavropol is a rural area, and rural areas need help now. It is necessary that young people stay in rural areas and develop no worse than in urban areas. People will always want to eat, so rural areas are important. We have been closely involved in development of this program and now we will fight for its funding," Vladimir Vladimirov said.
