Armenian businessman Samvel Mayrapetyan, detained by the Special Investigative Service on October 7, was formally accused of complicity in bribery today, spokeswoman for the Special Investigation Service Marina Ohanjanyan said.
"Mayrapetyan is charged under Article 38-311 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (complicity in bribery)," Ohanjanyan said, adding that more detailed information will be provided later.
A local court is currently deciding what kind of preventive measure apply on Mayrapetyan, ARKA reported.
Mayrapetyan owns the Armenian H2 TV channel and the Toyota Yerevan dealership.
