According to Rinat Maksyutov, Director General of the Vector Center for Virology and Biotechnology, the formation of lifelong immunity to coronavirus is possible.
Maksyutov believes that people who have had a severe form of coronavirus can count on lifelong immunity, though, they must have certain characteristics of the immune system, the scientist expressed this opinion at the Russia 1 TV channel.
