The search continues for oilmen missing in the Caspian Sea as a result of an accident at the oil-gathering station #3 of the Oil and Gas Production Department of Azneft Production Union, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
Three helicopters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as three vessels are involved in the search.
Moreover, personnel of the State Directorate for Small Capacity Vessels and Caspian Basin Accident-Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are involved in the search in coastal areas, Trend reports.
The accident took place yesterday at about 05:00 (UTC/GMT+4) due to strong wind, which blew away a part of a flyover of a 150-meter long oil-gathering station. A board attached to the flyover and a booth on it were also blown away. 10 people are missing.
