Azerbaijan is known for its long-standing tradition of respect for multiculturalism and acceptance of different religious and ethnic groups, the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta told Trend on April 22nd.
He was commenting on the upcoming 7th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations in Baku.
"We welcome efforts to raise the issue of tolerance for diversity, including in international venues, and think Azerbaijanis' experience is particularly important in helping all of us meet the challenges we see in today's world," said the ambassador.
The 7th UNAOC Global Forum will be held in Baku Apr. 25-27.
