The Ambassador of Serbia to Russia, Slavenko Terzic, said that the country sees sanctions as an archaic political tool and has no plans to join in with the anti-Russia restrictions imposed by the European Union.
"Serbia, as you know, has not joined in with the sanctions and is not planning to do so. We routinely reiterate this to our European partners," he stressed.
"We hope that the sanctions imposed by the EU will be lifted. Sanctions are not the best or most effective means to solve [the Ukrainian crisis]. We need to talk, hold a dialogue, and sanctions, as I see it, are an archaic political tool in international relations," RIA Novosti cited the ambassador as saying.
