The Chelyabinsk office of the Federal Security Service has prevented an attempt at illegal smuggling a T-34-85 tank across the state border.
"The tank was discovered during the inspection of a train heading across the Russian-Kazakh border at the Kartaly railway checkpoint," the press-service of the agency said.
The examination also revealed that the machine had been decommissioned, the directorate of the FSB said.
The T-34-85 was adopted by the Red Army GKO decree of 23 January 1944, being the final modification of the T-34 tank.
