The city officials of Sochi have rejected a proposal by Progress Party representatives, sent to the toponymic commission of the city administration, of installing a memorial plaque to Boris Nemtsov, who was born in this city.
The Commission did not like the absence of a number of documents, including the consent of relatives of the deceased, a death certificate and others. Also, the authorities did not like the probable location of the memorial plaque. In the end, members of the committee recommended that this question be returned to a year after Nemtsov's murder.
