Сonfrontations between Iran and US up 50 percent this year

Dangerous confrontations between Iranian and American warships in the Persian Gulf are up more than 50 percent in 2016 compared with this time last year, US defense official informed Fox News.

This year, the number of incidents is at least 30. Through the first six months alone of 2016, there were 26 dangerous confrontations.

“We are on pace to exceed last year’s numbers by more than fifty percent,” the defense official said.
