The authorities of Dagestan intend to completely restore Lake Adzhi (Papas) on the border of the republic's Kayakent and Derbent regions in the next three years, the region's Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology press service reported.
"As part of the national project "Ecology" of the federal project "Preservation of unique water bodies" for the period 2022-2024, it is planned to clear Lake Adzhi (Papas) in the Derbent region of Dagestan", the message says, TASS reports.
The planned work will restore the ecological state of the water body, provide favorable conditions for the habitat of animals, as well as conditions for the population's recreation.
