NATO clearly stated its readiness for dialogue with Russia, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told The Washington Post.
"Russia's military buildup is unexplained and unjustified, so it's for Russia to explain and for Russia to de-escalate and for Russia to engage in a serious political dialogue with NATO and NATO allies. We have made it clear that we are ready to do so," the NATO chief said.
He noted that the NATO Russia Council was a step in the right action to de-escalate and to find a political solution. "we met recently the NATO Russia Council who didn't agree, but at least that was a sign or a step in the right action to de-escalate and to find a political solution," he said.
