NATO defense ministers will discuss the situation in northern Syria during talks in Brussels on Thursday and Friday, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said, noting that it's a bit too early to judge the consequences of that agreement.
"I think it is a bit too early to judge the consequences and outcome of the agreement between President Erdogan and President Putin," he told reporters.
"I think what we have seen over the last days is encouraging because it shows that it is possible to move towards a political settlement, a political solution," Anadolu agency cited Stoltenberg as saying.
The NATO Secretary-General stressed the need to move on, and have a real political negotiated solution to the conflict in Syria.
