Pittsburgh police have a man in custody who opened fire in a synagogue Saturday, according to local reports, The Washington Examiner reports.
Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene at the Tree of Life Congregation Synagogue, which had been holding a prayer service.
The local CBS affiliate KDKA reported that at least four people have been confirmed dead, though added that the fatalities could be as high as eight. Three police officers were reportedly shot as they exchanged fire in trying to stop the gunman.
