The authorities of the Vladimir region intend to initiate the introduction of a tourist fee in Suzdal, regional head Vladimir Sipagin said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
“In five years, Suzdal will turn 1000 years old. We are considering the possibility of introducing a small tourist fee n Suzdal, which will help the city to develop,” Sipyagin said, RIA Novosti reports.
The idea of introducing a tourist fee for all vacationers is still under discussion, a decision must be made at the federal level, the region’s administration explained, adding that during the experiment, a similar practice in the resorts of Crimea and Kuban has already positively proven itself.
