The intra-Syrian negotiations mediated by Russia, Iran and Turkey are witnessing the first time when the Syrian government delegation is seated at the same table as the armed opposition since the start of the conflict in the Arab country.
The opening of the talks was attended by the permanent representative of Syria in the UN, and the current head of the government delegation to Astana, Bashar Jaafari, and the head of the Jaish al-Islam, Mohamed Alloush, TASS reports.
