Unidentified people kidnapped a school teacher in the Tabasaransky district of Dagestan yesterday, a source in the law-enforcement agencies said.
The four unidentified people refused to surrender and opened fire at the law enforcers. The head of the District Department of Internal Affairs of the Tabasaransky district was wounded in the shooting, Interfax reports.
The police returned fire and the kidnappers jumped out of the car and fled. "The bound and injured teacher was found in their car," a source in the law-enforcement structures of the republic said.
