Ten Chinese fishing trawlers, engaged in illegal fishing in the Gulf of Oman, were detained in the territorial waters of Iran.
"An investigation into the illegal entry of 10 Chinese trawlers into Iranian territorial waters is under way," TASS cited Provincial Governor of Sistan and Baluchestan, Ali Osat Hashemi, as saying.
He added that the special State Fisheries Organization controls fishing in Iran.
