The Guardian newspaper reassures air passengers with mobile phones and laptops in check-in luggage

Information about the alleged introduction of a ban by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on carrying lithium-ion batteries used in cameras, smart phones and other electronics in the luggage hold, do not correspond to reality and is the wrong interpretation of the new rules which enter into force on April 1st, Western media write.

The new regulations provide certain restrictions on the transportation of such batteries, but they affect only non-rechargeable ones. In addition, the transportation of batteries in large quantities in the luggage hold falls under the prohibition.
