Thea Tsulukiani: Georgia technically ready to hold electronic elections

Georgia’s Justice Minister Thea Tsulukiani said that Georgia is technically ready to hold electronic elections.

But she noted that other steps need to be taken to make this real. "These other steps include legislative changes, promoting electronic ID cards and ensuring countrywide internet access,” the Minister said.

Tsulukiani stressed that the e-voting system will allow Georgian citizens living abroad to participate in elections, Georgia Online reports.
