Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, who headed Iran’s diplomatic team at the talks on intra-Syrian settlement in Astana, announced that the next round of negotiations is planned to be held in Kazakhstan in March.
He further emphasized that a communique has been finalized by a joint committee monitoring the ceasefire in Syria, which has been established by Iran, Russia and Turkey.
"According to a preliminary agreement that would be finalized in diplomatic consultations, the next round of the talks will be held in less than a month," Tasnim cited Ansari as saying.
The representative of the Syrian armed opposition delegation, Osama Abu Zeid, does not expect there to be another round of talks in Astana.
