About 6 thousand people celebrated Epiphany in the alpine Monastery of the Holy Dormition in North Ossetia, Russia, the press service of the State Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic reported.
According to the representative of the Vladikavkaz and Alan Diocese, the traditional Epiphany plunging was performed not only by residents of North Ossetia, but also by visitors from other regions. Believers come families with children.
Everyone had an opportunity to plunge into the font created in the mountain river Fiagdon, and then warm up by the fire with hot tea,TASS reports.
