The geological exploration service of the Azerbaijani Ecology Ministry has fixed the formation of a number of new local landslides in the south of the country.
The head of the party for the study of exogenous geological processes of the Expedition Geological Planning, Sadiq Amiraslanov, said that it is caused by excessive precipitation in the region.
He added that the greatest threat of landslides is observed in some towns of the Lenkoran, Lerik and Astara regions, the APA news agency reports.
