The Iranian National Oil Company (NIOC) has signed a contract with France's Total on the development of the South Azadegan oil field, the Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said.
Now Total can start technological research on the deposit, Interfax reports with reference to Bloomberg.
Recall, Total has been active in the development of Iranian gas fields before the introduction of the sanctions regime against Iran.
