A 30-year-old tourist from Moscow fell off a cliff in the Crimean Grand Canyon in the Bakhchisarai district yesterday, the press service of the regional EMERCOM said.
According to rescuers, an unregistered tourist group of nine people were moving to the Ai-Petri plateau to the 'bath of youth' in the area of the Grand Canyon.
"A man (born in 1985, a resident of Moscow) was found in a gorge of the canyon during the search and rescue operation. Unfortunately, he received injuries incompatible with life. The remaining eight tourists were taken to a safe place," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
