Trade turnover between Turkey and Georgia exceeded $2 billion

According to data for 2021, Turkey became Georgia’s leading trading partner. The trade turnover between the countries reached $2.1 billion.

The share of Turkey in the total trade turnover of Georgia was 15%, according to the data of the National Statistical Office of Georgia.

At the end of last year, trade between the two countries increased by 40% compared to 2020.

In 2021, Georgia's main trading partners became the following countries: Turkey - $2,1 billion, Russia - $1,6 billion, China - $1,4 billion.

In 2021 Georgia's exports to Turkey increased by 69.1%, reaching $322.2 million. Turkey ranks fourth among Georgia's export partners, ahead of China, Russia and Azerbaijan.
