The United States helped Syria by withdrawing from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), US President Donald Trump believes.
He stressed that the Iran nuclear deal was a terrible deal for the United States and for the whole world, according to the statement posted on the White House website.
"And I think Syria — hopefully, Syria will start to stabilize. You see what’s been happening. It’s been a horror show," Trump said, without specifying how exactly the US decision helped Syria.
The president also noted that he has great respect for Syria and the people of Syria.
