U.S. President Donald Trump pushed back against reports of chaos in the White House, tweeting that his administration is "running very smoothly."
"The White House is running very smoothly and the results for our Nation are obviously very good. We are the envy of the world," he wrote on Twitter.
"But anytime I even think about making changes, the FAKE NEWS MEDIA goes crazy, always seeking to make us look as bad as possible! Very dishonest!" Trump added.
The president's tweet follows recent comments that point toward a post-midterm reshuffling of top administration staff, the Hill reported.
In an interview with the Daily Caller, Trump said that he is considering firing Department of Homeland (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. Last week, Attorney General Jeff Sessions resigned at Trump's request.
Trump downplayed that the turnover in his White House was indicative of chaos, telling the Daily Caller that “always in an administration after the midterms we make changes.”
