The speaker of the White House Sean Spicer said that the US President Donald Trump will not tolerate Iran's "provocative actions".
"The USNS ship that was in close proximity is obviously something that the President has been made aware of. The President has been very clear that this provocative action is something that won't be tolerated," Spicer told the press briefing.
The Pentagon earlier said that an Iranian frigate last Thursday came within 137 meters of the civilian-crewed USNS Invincible, while Iran said that the US Navy ship crossing the Strait of Hormuz changed its international route and approached to within 550 meters of Revolutionary Guards’ boats.
