Today, the Central Bank of Türkiye, as expected, maintained the previous level of the discount rate.
As of May 23, the discount rate in Türkiye is kept at 50%. The Turkish Central Bank noted that the country saw a limited weakening in the underlying inflation trend last month.
Inflation in Türkiye continues to rise. It is close to 70%.
